Beth O’Connor

Ms. O’Connor, Principal and Founder of AAC, Inc. is a Certified Public Accountant who received her undergraduate degree from Western Illinois University and her M.B.A. from DePaul University. Ms. O’Connor is widely acknowledged as an expert in the area of financial systems implementations and is a frequent lecturer at industry conferences. She has extensive experience in professional services accounting. Ms. O’Connor began her career in 1983 and has acted as Project Manager for two leading software vending companies. In 1996 Ms. O’Connor formed AAC, Inc. and concentrates on providing consulting services to major professional services firms throughout the world.

Jonathan Chatinover

Mr. Chatinover, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AAC, Inc., is a Certified Public Accountant who received his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University and his M.B.A in Finance from New York University. Mr. Chatinover specializes in financial management analysis, data migration, customization and reporting. Prior to joining AAC in 1998, he worked as Accounting Manager for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP, implementing a new financial system at the firm. Mr. Chatinover provides leadership to the user group community through his conference speaking engagements and past participation on the User Group Board. Mr. Chatinover also teaches various classroom and Webex seminars on SQL, the Database Table Structure and other topics.

Chuck Bressi

Mr. Bressi is a Certified Public Accountant who joined AAC in the beginning of 2007. He has over 25 years of experience in the accounting, law firm and professional services financial management software industries. Mr. Bressi’s career includes working for a CPA firm, holding two controller positions at law firms and being a project manager for a major legal software vendor as well as the Director of Consulting Services for that vendor. As an AAC consultant, Mr. Bressi is able to draw on his vast experience and provide top notch consulting services in managing complex implementation projects, business process design, review and re-engineering, executive level training as well as data integrity validation. He is well known as an expert in legal software. Mr. Bressi excels in building order from chaos.

Terry Otis

Ms. Otis, has a long, established successful history of consulting to many of the largest law firms in North America. Her specialties include all phases of system implementation, process reengineering, system selection and development. She has served as Project Manager/Implementation Consultant for over 40 implementations on a variety of software platforms including many AMLAW 100 law firms.  Ms. Otis was also a Senior Consultant for Price Waterhouse and has been given the opportunity to present at many conferences. Ms. Otis graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Ms. Otis specializes in facilitating firm objectives while team building, developing internal system expertise and promoting process efficiencies.

George Sommer

Mr. Sommer brings a diverse career background that includes six years working with large law firms and professional service companies implementing their financial systems. Mr. Sommer has been involved in over 50 financial system implementations, conducting application and managerial training, startup visits, requirements reviews and needs analysis, month-end closings, advanced troubleshooting and general support. He also managed the systems consultants and was responsible for all RFP responses at a major legal accounting software vendor. This responsibility incorporated integrating partner application software and databases that included workflow, CRM, document management and financial reporting. Mr. Sommer graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Computer Science.

Mike Miars

Mr. Miars started programming database conversions for the legal industry in 1998 and has expanded on that knowledge with custom browser inquiry design, Visual Basic customizations, and data warehousing. Prior to joining AAC, Mr. Miars served in various roles including conversion programmer, trainer, project manager, and manager of the conversions department for a large software vendor. During a short hiatus from the legal industry, he had the opportunity to work on several data warehousing implementation projects in the insurance industry, gaining additional experience and techniques in managing and operating a smooth data migration project. Mr. Miars holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Florida State University.

Mike Easterling

Mr. Easterling has over fifteen years of experience implementing and supporting financial systems in the legal industry. He has extensive experience in designing and developing a wide array of custom reporting applications and customizations across multiple platforms. Mr. Easterling provides a wide range of training, including customization tools, sql and financial system applications. He has worked for a large law firm where he led major data automation projects and developed and maintained a vast array of management reports, extracts, interfaces and alerts. Donna Howarth

Ms. Howarth has twenty years of experience implementing and supporting financial systems in the legal industry. She has been involved in over twenty system implementations, conducting application and managerial training, startup visits, month-end closings, advanced troubleshooting and general support. Ms. Howarth also held diverse positions in software development including designing and testing new software functionality; developing and conducting in-house training programs; working in account management to coordinate and communicate issues between the client staff and vendor staff; and writing technical documentation. Ms. Howarth has extensive experience with setting up systems to meet international requirements and has an in depth knowledge of data structures. Ms. Howarth graduated from Florida State University with a B.A. in Finance and a minor in Accounting.

John Wales

Mr. Wales started developing data conversion programs for a major vendor in 1999. Prior to joining AAC, he had successfully converted over 35 firms to both the Enterprise and 3E platforms at Thomson Reuters Elite. He has experience with a number of programming languages, including Informix, 4gl, VB.Net and SQL. Mr. Wales holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington.

Anita Prater

Cheryl Wagner

Brian Kane

John Pflugrad

jfMr. Pflugrad has been working as a consultant in the professional services industry since 1987. His various roles include manager of third party interfaces, product developer, project manager and director of a data warehouse services for a legal software vendor. Mr. Pflugrad has extensive experience in the development and implementation of data warehouse, including the integration of data from multiple sources with supporting inquiry/reporting tools. Mr. Pflugrad participated in the development of systems for cash forecasting and accounts receivable management and has implemented applications on all of the leading legal accounting systems. Luis Gomez

Mr. Gomez has amassed an extensive toolbox of skills that started when he joined a tech startup in Tampa before moving onto a large law firm.  At this firm, Mr. Gomez worked on reports, systems integrations, database development, cube development and maintenance, data warehousing, and system conversions.  His technical skills include T-SQL, SSRS, SSAS with some additional experience with SSIS, MDX.  He also has done work in MySQL, C#, ASP.NET, HTML5 (including JavaScript, CSS), and Java.  Mr. Gomez is also a graduate of Amherst College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.

Julie Lindsay

Ms. Lindsay has over thirty-five years of experience in the legal industry with a strong background in software implementation, set up, training and support.  Prior to AAC, the greater part of her career focused exclusively on inventory management, identifying and implementing operational strategies to streamline workflows, process review and improvement.  Ms. Lindsay has been involved in a number of financial system mergers and implementations, acting as project manager.  She graduated from State University at Brockport with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Accounting.

Swen Nielsen

Mr. Nielsen joined AAC in the beginning of 2017. He has over 30 years of experience in the accounting, law firm and professional services financial management software industries. Rich Heim

Mr. Heim has over twenty-five years’ experience working in Information Technology, with fifteen of those years working to help Law Firms install, customize, upgrade, and convert their financial systems.   He also has eight years’ experience working at Microsoft, Inc.  helping large hospital systems to install and customize data warehouse solutions used to forecast readmissions and other clinical outcomes.  He has a wide range of expertise including training, technical project management, C# and web development as well as SQL querying and reporting solutions.    Mr. Heim has a B.S in Computer Programming and Information Systems from Shepherd University. Charles Cogan

Mr. Cogan brings a broad management background and diverse set of skills and experience related to the business operations of law firms.  For the six years before joining AAC, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Houston based law firm.  As COO, Charles was responsible for implementation and operation of the law firm’s financial systems, and their interaction with the organization’s other systems.  Before entering into law firm services, Charles worked as a financial analyst for an industrial real estate developer in Mexico and as an operations consultant at a music media startup, which was acquired by a larger media company.  Charles received an undergraduate degree in Spanish Literature from Southwestern University.  He has studied and worked in Latin America and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.  He earned an MBA at Rice University.

JL Morrison

James L. Morrison, “JL”, has more than 18 years of experience as a database professional and business intelligence developer.  Prior to joining AAC, he worked as a BI developer/architect for a major international law firm.  While there, he served as the lead technical resource through the firm’s conversion project from one leading software vender to another. JL has designed and developed many custom reporting solutions and integrations for two leading software venders.  Before working in the legal industry, he worked as a database architect and ETL developer for a direct/multi-channel marketing company.   JL received an undergraduate degree in Decision Science and Information Systems, Computer Science from the University of Kentucky.

Kristin O’Connor

Ms. O’Connor has been with AAC, Inc. since 1998. She served in a managerial role initially, in charge of all corporate operations. Since 2005, Ms. O’Connor has served clients in a consulting role, specializing in technical writing, reconciliations, training and support.
